USMX-ILA NEGOTIATIONS UPDATES and Master Contract Documents

This page contains current USMX-ILA MASTER CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATES, along with current and archival contract documents related to the ILA-USMX Master Contract.

The United States Maritime Alliance, Ltd. (USMX), in Master Contract bargaining with the International Longshoremen's Association, AFL-CIO (ILA), represents employers of the maritime industry (in the ports from Maine to Texas) who are responsible for the transportation and handling of cargo shipped to and from the United States.

Since 1977, USMX and its predecessor organizations have successfully negotiated on our members' behalf contracts with the ILA without any disruption to service. In April of 2013, after more than a year of bargaining and two temporary extensions, USMX and the ILA ratified a new 6-year Master Contract, which covers approximately 14,500 port workers on the U.S. East and Gulf Coasts. The current Master Contract will be expiring on September 30, 2018.
