USMX CEO and Chairman Paul De Maria was honored to speak at the ILA South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District Convention this week, where he discussed the strength of the USMX–ILA partnership and our shared commitment to the future of the longshore industry.
When labor and management work together, we create opportunities for longshore workers, strengthen our ports, and keep the American economy moving. Special thank you to ILA President Harold Daggett and ILA South Atlantic and Gulf Coast District President Alan Robb for allowing Paul the opportunity to join this important gathering and address your membership.

At USMX, collaboration drives progress.
Last week, we were proud to bring together our member companies for our Annual Member Meeting to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the maritime industry.
Throughout the meeting, we engaged in important conversations about implementing the new Master Contract, strengthening our ports’ competitiveness, advancing safety and productivity, championing the longshore workforce, and ensuring our industry remains well-positioned to support the U.S. economy for years to come.
Thank you to all our members, speakers, and partners for contributing to a productive, forward-looking meeting. Together, we remain focused on building a stronger, safer, and more competitive future for our ports and the entire supply chain.

Building on the success of last week’s ILA-USMX Children’s Fund Gala, USMX and the ILA hosted our annual golf outing in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
For decades, our organizations have partnered not only at our ports, but in our shared commitment to helping children and families facing life-threatening illnesses like cancer. Through events like these, we are honored to raise critical funds that support groundbreaking research, treatment, and care for children in need.
We are grateful to everyone who participated, sponsored, and supported this year’s outing. Together, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across the country.

For more than three decades, USMX and the ILA have proudly partnered through the ILA-USMX Children’s Fund to support organizations serving children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Last night, we came together once again for our gala benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — an evening dedicated to advancing the hospital’s lifesaving research, supporting families in need, and helping ensure every child receives the care they deserve, regardless of circumstance.
The evening was made even more meaningful as we celebrated ILA President Harold Daggett’s 80th birthday and recognized his longstanding leadership, commitment to working families, and dedication to helping others.
Thank you to everyone who attended last night and made the evening so special.
